Michael Crouser was buried in Leachtown Cemetery, Leachtown, Wood County, West Virginia. His headstone was either missing or unreadable in 2016. It is unknown when Mahala Crouser died or where she was buried.

David Crouser (Friederich Carl Christlieb1, Jacob Christlieb2, Elizabeth Crislip3, Michael Crouser4), born ca. 1830, married, 4 Aug 1850, Wood County, (West) Virginia, Elizabeth H Sprouse; born 1 Feb 1834, Wood County West Virginia; died 1 Feb 1908, Tucker County, West Virginia; buried in Bayard Cemetery, Bayard, Grant County, West Virginia. The 1860 census lists David and family living in Weston, Lewis, Virginia, with five children. David enlisted in Company C, Virginia 17th Cavalry Regiment, where he served the Confederacy during the Civil War. David died during the 1863 and 1864 "winter camps" in the Salem area [Salem City, Virginia]. He may be buried in an unmarked grave in the East Hill Cemeetery, Salem, Salem City, Virginia. There is a memorial plaque listing a number of soldiers from the 17th Virginia cavalry.

The 1860 census for Wood County, Virginia, lists Nicholas Crouser, Eliza A., children Richard, age 4, and Benjamin, age 3 mo., and Nicholas' youngest sibling, Adam Crouser, who was 14 at the time.
