John Christlieb [869], born 9 March 1782, in Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; died 11 May 1858 in Stark County, Ohio, and was interred in Melshimer Cemetery in Pike Township, Stark County. John married three times: his first wife was Agness Orris; his second wife was Elizabeth Whistler; his third wife was Fannie Cable. At an early age, John removed to Ohio. John Christlieb was the father of six sons.
George Christlieb [920], born 29 May 1785, in Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; died 6 January 1846, and was interred in Zeigler’s Church graveyard in Mifflin Township. He is believed to have been named after his half-uncle, Georg Bock. George married Elizabeth North in 1807. George and Elizabeth were the parents of four sons and four daughters.
Charles Christlieb [951], born 1 July 1787, in Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; died 25 September 1817, at age 30, in South Middleton Township, Cumberland County. His place of burial remains unknown. At age 24, Charles married Sarah Kogen. Charles and Sarah were the parents of a son and two daughters.
Catharina Christlieb [955], born ca. 1789 in Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Catharina died in infancy prior to the establishment of Ziegler’s Church. Her burial site is unknown.
Isaac Christlieb [964], born 27 March 1791 in Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; died 22 May 1858 and was interred in Ziegler’s Church graveyard in Mifflin Township. A twin of Jacob, Isaac married Catharina Weise. Isaac was the family’s first historian. He was also a tavern keeper and an astute politician. Isaac and Catharina were the parents of three sons and four daughters.
Jacob Christlieb [989], born 27 March 1791, in Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; died 9 May 1884, and was interred in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Newville, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Jacob and his brother, Isaac, were fraternal twins. A tailor by trade, Jacob, journeyed to Virginia ca. 1812, where he was united with his father’s brother, Jacob. Jacob married Juliana Morritt, whom he outlived by thirty years. Jacob and Juliana were the parents of three sons and five daughters.
Sarah Christlieb [1008], born 31 May 1794, in Mifflin Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; died 4 October 1784, and was interred in Lyons Township, Iona County, Michigan. Sarah married John Jacob Kautz of Perry County, Pennsylvania. Sarah and Jacob removed to Ohio and later to Michigan. Sarah and Jacob Kautz were the parents of five sons and four daughters.
Solomon Christlieb [1026], born 18 February 1797, in Mifflin Township Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; died 11 May 1850, and was interred in Ziegler’s Church graveyard in Mifflin Township. In 1826, Solomon married his first cousin, Sarah Crislip, youngest of fourteen children born to his uncle, Jacob Christlieb, who resided in Harrison County, Virginia. Solomon and Sarah were the parents of two sons and two daughters.
